EMDRIA-approved Basic Training This is all virtual EMDRIA-approved Basic Training This course is a basic EMDR training course for clinicians. The trainer encompasses everything from foundational knowledge of trauma and neurobiology to the effective implementation of EMDR protocols. Participants will gain expertise in relaxation techniques, the eight phases of EMDR, mechanisms of effect, and specialized tasks such as cognitive interweaves and future templates. Once the course has begun, there are no refunds for any reason. If you cannot complete the training, you may receive a 50% discount on future training. Each training requires a minimum of 8 participants. If the minimum number of participants is unmet, it is preferred that you transfer to a future training session, but you will be provided a full refund if you cannot attend a future training. This policy is strictly enforced. When you enroll in the course, you will initial an acknowledgment of the training requirements. These practice experiences are for training purposes and do not replace formal therapy. All participants should be prepared to address disturbing real-life experiences to appreciate the subjective experience of EMDR and to provide valid training experiences for other participants. It is not unusual for a target memory to bring up other events. It’s also common to have continued processing throughout and after the training. Additionally, trauma-related case material, didactic information, or client videos may cause disturbances due to unresolved issues. By signing up for the course, it is assumed that participants: 1. You affirm that you have and can employ coping skills. 2. You acknowledge, understand, and knowingly assume the risks of participating in the training. Participants presently engaged in mental health treatment should inform their provider about all aspects of this training, including the experiential component, to secure their provider's support in advance. Please also inform your trainer so they can be attentive to any needs. 4. It is the participant's responsibility to seek and obtain appropriate mental health assistance if desired. Providing such assistance is neither a part of nor an extension of the training. 5. If you have any medical challenges, consult your doctor and get medical clearance before participating in this training. 6. All participants must have a current and active caseload. This training is designed to allow participants to use interventions learned with their clients. This training program is not intended for anyone without a current caseload.
